Luckily we are experts in helping you categorize what you’ll keep, give to family members, sell, donate to charity or dispose of. We can then help in arranging content sales, charity pick-ups and trash removal. We aim to be a “zero-waste” service where we do our best to re-home and re-use as much as possible. After our initial consultation, we will provide a detailed explanation of all the steps and be there for you the entire way. 

It really varies based on what you are looking for. We offer several levels of services depending on how much you want to be involved. For example, you may just need us for 5 hours to help you declutter or you may need us to handle an entire home clear out. We promise our prices are fair and we will provide you with a quote within 24hrs of your on-site consultation. 

We completely understand and there is often a “warming up” stage where seniors will weigh the idea of doing it themselves vs. hiring experts. We make sure their valuables are respected and cared for. We’ve been there with our own parents and know that it takes time, however, what we’ve learned is if we are very clear about the stages and timelines of downsizing, it becomes a seamless and often enjoyable experience! 

It really depends on the size of the home but in many cases, the sorting and organizing stage can be completed within 5 days and then the dispersal stage is completed within 2 days. From there, we have the moving stage and then the new home set-up stage which is about 2 days. We can complete the process within 10 days if needed. However, we can also create an extended timeline with the same amount of hours. It really depends on your timeline. 

We definitely offer hourly-rate assistance (3 hour minimum) because we know this can be helpful. In fact, when we were helping our parents downsize, this is what we needed and it didn’t really exist. You can hire us for as little or as much help as you need. 

We are happy to arrange FaceTime check-ins as often as you like. We can set aside “memory boxes” that are often in the family home that you can view and let us know what you’d like to keep. We take extra care and attention, having gone through this exact process ourselves.
